Third Form

Third Form (Year 9) students follow a curriculum of compulsory subjects which concentrates on Maths and English, in addition to a range of other essential areas.  Pupils can opt to study up to three languages in the Third Form, choosing from French, German, Latin, Japanese or Spanish.

The Third Form is taught in groups which are set by ability, based on performance in Maths and English.  This allows each student to develop at a rate consistent with his or her strengths and abilities.

Internal examinations take place in the Summer Term; these exams provide important preparation for forthcoming challenges at GCSE level.
