Extracurricular @ Gresham’s

From the moment they arrive at Gresham’s, our pupils are encouraged to express themselves and explore their world through the media of dance, drama, music and the visual arts. Opportunities to perform and create abound from the earliest age, and experimentation is encouraged.  We have a proud tradition of educating artists; sculptor and painter Ben Nicholson, film director Stephen Frears, actress Olivia Coleman and actor Ben Mansfield are among our alumni. Many of our pupils have gone on to Art, Drama or Music Colleges, many on Scholarships.

Alongside cultural pursuits we encourage students to take an interest in the wider world and a responsibility to their community. The Combined Cadet Force,  the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and Community Service expose our pupils to new opportunities and challenges.
