Individual care

Our students are all part of a warm and caring School community which supplements our carefully considered support network of trained staff and designated peers, who can offer confidential advice and guidance at any time.

In addition to Houseparents and Matrons, each child also has a tutor whom they meet regularly in the Tutor Period.  Tutors help with everyday problems in addition to monitoring academic progress and flagging up concerns when they arise.  We encourage children to set realistic targets and to focus on achieving their aims.
A multi-denominational Chaplain is also available for students seeking advice on matters of faith, while a qualified School counsellor is at hand for serious emotional concerns.

We  run a fully operational Health Centre with qualified nurses and visiting doctors, ensuring the best possible care when a child is unwell.  The Health Centre also provides information and advice on topical medical issues such as smoking, healthy eating and bullying.

At Gresham’s we do our utmost to ensure that every child receives the support and guidance they need, helping every pupil in our care to live a happy and healthy lifestyle.
