Learning Support
Our teachers are always happy to see children out of class time to tackle difficulties and offer support, but in order for us to meet the needs of each child, we offer Learning Support classes for anyone in need of extra help.
Our Learning Support Department caters for pupils with a variety of learning difficulties including dyslexia, dyscalculia, sensory impairments and low self-esteem. Most lessons are on a one-to-one basis, although we also teach in small groups and give support in the classroom.
We have an English as an Additional Language specialist on staff, and we support a small number of children for whom English is not their first language.
The department is located in a quiet part of the school and offers a comfortable and well-equipped setting. Five members of our staff have special needs teaching qualifications. We aim to help every child be the best they can be, and our Learning Support system provides the tools to help each child reach their full potential.
