Individual Care
Our students are all part of a warm and caring School community which supplements our carefully considered support network of trained staff and designated peers, who can offer confidential advice and guidance at any time.
Each student belongs to a House with a built-in supportive infrastructure including a Housemaster or Housemistress, Tutor, Matron and House Prefect, who provide friendly and sympathetic care on a daily basis. Our House system promotes a strong sense of community, building strong friendships and promoting healthy competition and team spirit.
Pupils also have a personal tutor with whom they meet weekly to discuss any issues or concerns, from academic worries to personal problems. Students will meet with the same tutor throughout their time at School, building a trusting and friendly relationship.
A multi-denominational pastor is also available for students seeking advice on matters of faith, while a qualified School counsellor is at hand for serious emotional concerns.
We also run a fully operational Health Centre with qualified nurses and visiting doctors, ensuring the best possible care when a child is unwell. The Health Centre also provides information and advice on topical medical issues such as smoking, healthy eating and bullying.
At Gresham’s we do our utmost to ensure that every child receives the support and guidance they need, helping every pupil in our care to live a happy and healthy lifestyle.
