Cadets have enjoyed a varied training programme

Cadets have enjoyed a varied training programme over the term so far, focusing on completing elements of their basic and advanced syllabus. All cadets have done some drill as well as teamwork activities. In addition the Army Section cadets have been instructed in the use of the cadet weapon systems and infantry skills, RAF cadets have had opportunities to experience the new flight simulator, and Navy cadets have had time ‘afloat’ in the school pool.

Senior cadets have enhanced their leadership and instructional skills with some Year 11 cadets successfully completing a junior leadership course during the half term break. The REME section have made excellent progress on their vehicle maintenance in the workshop garages and a new bike skills course is being constructed in the woods in preparation for an enhanced adventurous training programme.
