Callum enjoying success in Leicester Tigers Academy
7 May 2021

We are so pleased to see Year 12 pupil, Callum, playing in the Leicester Tigers Academy team against Bath this weekend (Saturday 8th May).
Callum, who plays in the second row and the back row, has been part of Leicester Tigers Developing Player Programme (DPP) since the U14’s and has progressed through the age groups. He is currently enjoying success in the Tigers’ Academy working his way towards the Development squad. In the last few weeks, Callum has played for Leicester Tigers against Wasps and Gloucester and is in the squad to face Bath this weekend, followed by fixtures against Sale Sharks and Newcastle Falcons. His current success is testament to the hard work and dedication Callum puts into his training and development.
In school, Callum benefits from the expertise of our Director of Rugby, Ben Pienaar, who has a wealth of experience both in playing and coaching the game. He attended Gresham’s and went on to represent Leicester Tigers and London Welsh during his playing career.
Callum consistently throws himself into everything Gresham’s has to offer. Alongside being an outstanding rugby player, he is a grade 8 guitarist, a member of the Auden Society, an Oxbridge applicant and, evidently, brilliant at managing his time!
