Careers guidance continues with interesting talks from OGs

The Michaelmas term saw a number of Careers events take place. Mrs Osborne organised online talks from Mayflower Education on Studying in the USAThe University Guys on Studying in Europe and Burnett Global Education on Studying International Management Degrees for Lower Sixth pupils interested in International study.

A careers presence has continued every week from Monday to Thursday. Therefore, our pupils are still receiving help with careers guidance, information and advice. The first of the Career Bite series was on Thursday 28th January welcoming OG Jonathan Beckett back via Teams to talk about his role as Group Chief Executive of Burgess, the world’s most respected name in the superyacht sector. Joff gave a fascinating insight into the steps to his current role and the super yachts designs. He also explained the opportunities, skills and qualities needed to work in the sector including Yacht Brokering, Design, Project Management, Yacht Operations Management and Crewing.
