GCSE Spanish pupils have been working on Identity and Culture

GCSE Spanish pupils have been working on their topic of Identity and Culture and learning about customs and festivals in Spain and their importance. They undertook their own independent research to develop their knowledge of festivals in the Spanish Speaking World, finding out about festivals such as “Los castells” in Catalonia, “La Barranquilla” in Colombia and “La Tamborrada” in San Sebastian. The well known festival of San Fermin was chosen by a few pupils and Jack in Year 10 led the class in a cheery rendition of the popular song “ Uno de enero”!
