Gresham’s community complete half marathon for charity
26 March 2021

Our pupils, teachers and parents took part in their annual half marathon to raise money for their Charity of the Year, The Treehouse, Holt.
Due to covid restriction, the runners combatted the challenge wherever they currently were, whether that was in Rome or Reepham, as well as in sunny but blustery Norfolk. Those teachers and pupils in school, covered a challenging route around Kelling, Weybourne and Sheringham Park, completing the distance of 13.1 miles. More than 50 runners, including 19 pupils, took part and raised vital funds for The Treehouse.
At the time of writing, the School have now raised more than £8,800 for the charity over the course of the academic year which is a great achievement, especially considering the challenges presented by multiple lockdowns. The money raised by the school will go towards a low wheelchair-accessible treehouse as well as a sensory garden where the treehouse will be situated.
Mr Cox, Gresham’s Housemaster and coordinator of the half marathon, commented “Despite the fact we couldn’t all be together, it was wonderful to see Gresham’s pupils, teachers and parents, both locally and internationally, taking on the challenge to raise money for The Treehouse.
