Music pupils have scored highly in their Trinity exams

We are both a centre for Trinity and ABRSM practical music exams and most terms we offer sessions in both for musicians wishing to take voice and instrumental Grade exams. These exams demand a level of theory understanding as well as the ability to learn and perform a number of pieces, for vocal exams sing in a foreign language and it requires hard work and commitment. For those looking to go on to university the higher grades carry UCAS points, with a distinction at Grade 8 commanding 70 points.

Our track record is extremely good with the majority of candidates passing each time, both testament to the pupils and our team of high calibre peripatetic staff.  Recent Trinity exams have resulted in stellar performances from 17 pupils, the majority of whom took between Grade 6-8. 13 Distinctions (87/100 and above) and 4 Merits (75/100) is well worth a mention! Ever more so this year too, when for weeks at a time music lessons were conducted online because of lockdown or periods of isolation. Congratulations to all!
