Grease is the word

Last week, Grease really was the word, it was on everyone’s lips as favourite moments were recounted and the songs sung across the school. Such a well known musical meant that anticipation was certainly high for the performances, and not one disappointed.

Each cast was superb, with standout performances from each corner of the stage and too many amazing moments to count; it was so clear how much blood, sweat and (trust me) tears had gone into this performance.

A debut starring performance from Ned Perry-Warnes (W) complimented the cast of audience favourites in the show perfectly, while the chorus proved they really could hand-jive through their great performances each night.

Starring couples Clem Chapple (E), Tom Kinder (T), Libby Lukins (Q) and Ollie Smith (H) managed the challenging performances very well, lighting up the stage with their final performances of ‘You’re the one that I want’, while the Pink Ladies and T-Birds showed their talents throughout the show.

A special mention must go to the whole production team, with the costumes and choreography ensuring that the whole performance ran like ‘Greased Lightning’ while Miss O’Brien and the crew showed they truly were ‘Hoplessly Devoted’ to the production.

Go, Rydell!
