Odd Socks Day at the Prep School

Thursday 21st March was World Down Syndrome Day 2019 and the Gresham’s Prep School community celebrated it by wearing odd socks to school.  We love being the inclusive and supportive place we are and the odd socks idea strongly symbolises the beauty, colour and diversity that having a school of over two hundred and twenty pupils, plus adults, creates.  Sometimes the idea of ‘Charity’ can be more effectively conveyed by a show of unilateral support and not just merely by a monetary donation.  Thursday was one of those special days; everyone took part, we all supported the importance of World Down Syndrome Day, we didn’t raise any money this year but we all had fun and ended the day with a heightened sense of awareness of Down Syndrome and the special place that it has in our school.
