Pupils study Sheringham sea defences

Year 7 Prep School pupils have enjoyed a Geography field trip to Sheringham and what a lovely day to be beside the sea!

The pupils spent their time looking at the sea defences and completed some measurements to show how the process of longshore drift works.

The group looked at the seawall, groynes and the granite boulders and produced annotated field sketches to show these defences. They will use the information to complete the coastal studies topic, which is a key area in the Year 7 scheme of work.
