The Senior Sevens Squad had a fabulous day at Rosslyn Park in London for the world’s largest rugby festival last month! With minimal preparation and the majority of the team playing hockey all term they played extremely well and competed with great determination, pride and effort resulting in two wins and two losses.
v Pocklington School, 19 – 7 (W) (tries – Jack, Hudson and Rob, conversions – Joe x 2).
v Simon Langton Grammar School for Boys, 28 – 10 (W) (tries – Joe, Harry, Rob & Barney, conversions – Joe x 4).
v Stowe 5 – 33 (L) (try – Alfie)
v Rugby School 12 – 50 (L) (tries – Alfie and Barney, conversions -Joe x 1).
Stowe was the eventual winners of our group who surprisingly beat Rugby School in the final match to come top of the group. Further details of the tournament are available here.
