Pupils and teachers from Gresham’s joined the community in a united service of Remembrance at the War Memorial in Holt on Sunday 12 November.
One hundred cadets from the school’s Combined Cadet Force joined Headmaster, Douglas Robb. He laid a wreath to honour the Old Greshamians who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Tom Kinder (T) played the Last Post and Cadet C/Sgt Naomi Crame (Q) carried the CCF Banner, the first female cadet to be bestowed with this honour.
A poignant service was held on Armistice Day at the school’s Memorial Chapel, which is adorned with 114 ceramic poppies from the Tower of London installation ‘Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red’. Pupils and staff remembered those who gave their lives while serving for their country.
