Gresham’s Futures hosts first Careers Fair

Sue Osborne is the new Futures Adviser at Gresham’s.  She started in October, working part-time on a Monday and Tuesday and alternating Wednesdays.  The Futures Office is now based in the Library Building.

She is a fully qualified Careers Adviser and her role at Gresham’s is to give information, advice and guidance on the options available post Sixth Form through careers interviews, using the careers online platforms of Kudos and Morrisby, careers events, visiting speakers, degree and higher apprenticeship workshops, employer talks and setting up a work experience programme.

There is lots of information, books and helpful guides available in the Futures office.  So please do visit as a pupil or as a parent.  If you would like to make an appointment please email

We are also on Twitter, so please follow us for updates @GreshamsFutures

The first event organised was the Futures Fair which took place on Wednesday 5th December in Big School Hall with 34 exhibitors made up of Degree establishments at Academic and Creative level; Degree and Higher Apprenticeship opportunities; Higher Education Vocational courses, Apprenticeships available in Norfolk; the Police; the Armed Forces; the Norwich Aviation Academy; the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital; and a range of employers.

The idea of the event was to give both pupils and parents an opportunity to find out more about post Sixth Form opportunities and to talk to employers about their employment and what future job roles they can offer and what they are looking for in subject qualifications, skills and abilities. For those who attended this event, we do hope you enjoyed it and found it informative, if you do have any feedback please contact Sue via the above email address.
