Our pupils had a successful morning at the Norfolk School Cross Country Championships

Gresham’s had a very successful morning at Langley School.  Pupils from the prep and senior school took part in the cross-country championship hoping to qualify for the next round of the competition.

Ben W in Year 9 raced first over 4.7km and stay in the leading pack during the first lap. He dropped back slightly after a confusion over the course but was able to hold on to finish 9th.

Poppy and Charlotte G along with Evie H took part in the Intermediate competition. They had a great race in a very competitive field. After completing the 3.9km course Charlotte finished 2nd, Evie 5th and Poppy 7th.

In the senior girls race Hattie R lead from start to finish racing over 3.9km hardly losing any time when she needed to adjust her shoe.

These finishing positions mean that all the competitors qualify for the next round of the competition, The Anglian Cross-country Championship. We wish them every success in this and hope they qualify from this round for the English School Cross-country Championship.
