Pupils heard about the Arkwright Engineering Scholarship

The Careers Department welcomed Sharn Crane, Regional Liaison Officer for the Smallpeice Trust’s Arkwright Engineering Scholarship programme to the Dyson Building to give a presentation to keen Year 10 and Year 11 STEM pupils. She explained the scholarship which is designed to inspire and develop the next generation of future leaders as they finish school and progress into the exciting world of engineering. Applying in Year 11 and awarded at the beginning of Year 12, the Scholarship provides enrichment experiences, financial support and promotes valuable networking and employment opportunities within industry.
Joanna Crane, Undergraduate Engineer at The Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology talked about the opportunities that doing the Arkwright Engineering Scholarship had given her and told pupils about her journey and decision to study a Degree Apprenticeship with The Dyson Institute.
