Our Health Centre provides a multidisciplinary professional health service to the Gresham’s community, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Morning surgery is held each weekday with the School Doctor from 8.15am, for boarders who are registered with the school medical service and access to the Health Centre is available on a drop in basis to all pupils for nurse-led consultations throughout the day.

Individual care plans for pupils with pre-existing conditions such as allergies, diabetes or asthma, are agreed with parents and these plans are reviewed and updated annually with appropriate advice and training as necessary.

Ten beds are available in shared and private rooms for those pupils who need special care or need to be isolated from the Boarding Houses; those with high fevers, contagious conditions, and those recovering from minor injuries or operations.

Our Registered Nurses provide:

  • Primary health care to students
  • Emergency care, including First Aid treatment
  • Promotion of public health within the school environment
  • Referrals to allied medical or other health professionals

Mental Health Nurse

The Mental Health Nurses are independent and confidential professionals, trained and experienced in giving advice and support about issues and problems that affect young people.

All consultations are confidential and appointments can be made to suit the pupil’s timetable.

Sports Medicine

A private physiotherapist provides a service by referral and runs a weekly clinic if demand requires. Pupils are invoiced separately for this service.
