Students become archivists and discover more about Greshamians who fought in the First World War
6 October 2020

Four students have resumed the task of being archivists and researchers every Friday afternoon as part of the Gresham’s Services programme.
The students are now researching the final 100, of the more than 400 OGs who served in the First World War. The students, advised by History Department staff Mr Kinder and Mr O’Donnell, are completing research profiles on every OG who served in the Great War. These details are then entered into a public database by school archivist Mrs Larby. Already this term, we have uncovered the stories of a First World War doctor, a Holt shopkeeper’s son and a pupil who died in a Norwich mental hospital following the horrors of 1914-1918.
