The cricket season gets off to a flying start

The cricket season got off to a flying start with five matches for the 1st XI in the week before the summer term. The 1st XI went to Haileybury School for a short festival with Haileybury, RHS High Wycombe and Merchant Taylor’s School. The games were eagerly fought with two wins and one loss. Over the weekend the First XI lost to Sheringham on the Saturday but beat North Runcton on the Sunday. The event provided a good run out for the large squad of players, with highlights on the Sunday including Elliott H, Sakhu N and Archie J scoring over 50 runs each.

Sheringham 151-7, Gresham’s 124 all out, Loss by 27 runs

18th April 2021 vs North Runcton (40 overs)

Gresham’s 232-2 (Elliott H 59, Archie J 57, Sakhu N 52*, Muzi N 48) , North Runcton 115 all out (Finn L 3-29, Louis H 3-30) Win by 117 runs
