The Lent term has got off to a flyer on the hockey pitch

The Lent term has got off to a flyer on the hockey pitch with block fixtures against Norwich School and RHS on the first two weekends back for all our boys teams. These matches saw some very competitive games played with the boys performing very well. Our boys first team played an exciting match in Tier 1 of the England Hockey Cup away to Bromsgrove in Worcestershire. It was a high tempo, physical game where unfortunately Bromsgrove edged it 3-2 with two penalty corners scored. The boys have adapted well to life in the competition for the top 32 schools in the country and went on to defeat Trent College 5-0 in an exciting home match on Thursday 28th January. The match was tightly contested but the clinical finishing and solid defensive work from the 1st XI ensured that all 3pts were secured. Next up is Norwich School on Friday 4th February.

Girls hockey also continues this term with training on Wednesday nights and the U15A are playing their National Semi Final vs Kent College Pembury on 28th January. Good luck girls!
