The Music Department are looking forward to the many concerts taking place this term

The Lent Term is packed with concerts to suit all tastes.

Music and Munch is proving ever-popular and we are very grateful to our loyal audience who come and support our pupils as they develop the craft of performance in the lunchtime concerts. Come and join us in Tig’s Café on Friday 4th February and Friday 4th March, where, for a suggested £3 donation for a light sandwich lunch, you can enjoy a programme of vocal and instrumental solos and ensembles. Doors open from 12.50pm with hot drinks and other snacks available to buy from the café.

We return to Blakeney Church on Friday 25th February with Schola Cantorum and Brass ensemble for a Mid-winter concert including Haydn’s Nelson Mass. The concert starts at 7.30pm with a retiring collection.  Proceeds from the interval drinks will go to our School Charity, the Holt Youth Project.

Rehearsals for our Choral Society concert are going extremely well. The Chorus, with pupil soloists and guest orchestra, will perform Mozart Requiem on Sunday 20th March at 7pm in the Auden Theatre. It is not too late to join if you wish to take part and sing.  For further information contact Fiona Ross, [email protected]. Details on how to order tickets will soon be available on Trybooking.com.

The Senior School are joining forces with the Prep School for a Piano Recital on Wednesday 9th March at 7.30pm in Fishmongers’ Recital Hall. More able pupils from both Schools get together to perform on one of our beautiful Steinway Grand pianos. Tickets are not required.

The term concludes with Songs from the Shows on Thursday 24 March at 7.30pm in the Auden Theatre.  From small beginnings, this annual concert has developed into an event with a large cast, showcasing both singers and musicians performing West End and Broadway Musical Theatre favourites from across the decades. Details on how to order tickets will soon be available on Trybooking.com.

If you are planning on attending any of the above concerts we would be grateful if you could do a lateral flow test before hand and have a mask handy should wearing one be necessary.
