Year 13 pupils have enjoyed a variety of careers talks this term

The Music Department, OG Club and Careers worked together to welcome back Composer, OG Peter Blyth https://peteblyth.com to talk to keen musical pupils about the music industry; job roles and getting into the sector.

Amy and Flossie from the British Army Music Band Careers Section gave a careers presentation as part of the Norfolk Music Federation Day with the Colchester Army Band. The British Army is the number one employer of musicians with 13 army bands and 1 string orchestra. Alex Triplow, Head of HR at Holkham Estate https://www.holkham.co.uk came and spoke to some Year 13 pupils about Holkham’s apprenticeship programme offering apprenticeships from advanced, higher to degree level in Administration, Accounting, Business, Hospitality, HR, Farming, Horticulture, Events, and Marketing.

Opportunities that can begin the transition from school to next steps on the careers ladder without closing the door to future university study, or the opportunity of a degree apprenticeship where tuition fees are funded by the employer.
