Year 5 and 6 pupils participate in new STEAM activity

Our Year 5 and 6 pupils have the chance to attend a Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths (STEAM) activity every Wednesday morning and the activity encompasses all elements and encourages collaborative thinking. Pupils are currently engaged on two tasks, the first of which is to create a new interactive ‘STEAM’ sign in the Butterwick Centre. This will be controlled using both Arduino and Microbit boards and will have a range of special effects! The second project that pupils are working on is to create a Braccio Robotic Arm. Pupils have started to build the arm and will then move on to coding the movements and operations of the arm.
