There are six key entry points to Gresham’s – Nursery, Reception, Year 3, Year 7, Year 9 and Sixth Form. It may sometimes be possible to admit pupils into other year groups and it is always worth contacting the school to check if a place is available.
Before applying, we would encourage you to visit the school. We have Open Days in both the Michaelmas Term and the Summer Term and they provide an ideal opportunity to view our wonderful facilities and to meet our pupils and staff. It is recommended that you also visit the school on a normal working day, meet the Head and other staff and discuss what the school can offer your child.
If you feel Gresham’s is the right school for your child, the next step is to apply for a place. Once we have received your application, we will (where appropriate) seek a confidential reference from your child’s current school and invite them to take part in some form of assessment. The type of assessment varies depending on the entry point.
A number of scholarships are available in Year 7, Year 9 and the Sixth Form to pupils of exceptional merit.
Visiting the school
If you are considering Gresham’s for your child, we would be delighted to welcome you for an individual visit.
We hold a number of Open Mornings throughout the year. These are an excellent opportunity to tour the school and see activities and lessons taking place.
