At Gresham’s, we believe it is important that pupils experience and participate in many different activities and events outside the classroom.
Residential School Trips, both within the UK and abroad, play a vital role in the Gresham’s experience. In October, Year 9 visit the French and Belgium Battlefields. Other academic excursions include a Physics trip to CERN, Geneva, and Geography trip to Dorset.
Recent sports tours have taken pupils as far afield as Sri Lanka Boys’ and Girls’ Cricket and Netball, France and Canada for skiing, the Netherlands for Hockey, and both Cornwall and Portugal for Rugby.
Our Combined Cadet Force (CCF) attend Easter and Summer Camps and pupils are encouraged to attend CCF courses in the holidays to support their interests such as skiing, outdoor adventure and military skill development.
We have a thriving Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme, with expeditions regularly taking place in the local area, as well as in the Peak District, Lake District, Northern Scotland and Yorkshire Dales. In addition, we maintain a partnership with a conservation programme in the Maasai Mara.
