A happy home from home
Our Nursery is located within Gresham’s Pre-Prep building – a Grade II Listed building that overlooks playing fields and is conveniently situated in Holt town centre. Sharing all of the school’s facilities, including the vast grounds, 200 acres in all, and swimming pool, the nursery offers endless opportunities for little explorers’ adventures.
A Gresham’s education is classed as ‘Excellent’ for all parts of the school, and our Nursery is no exception.
Our experienced and qualified nursery staff create an environment where each little grasshopper is well-known, feels content in his or her surroundings, and has fun with their friends.
A typical day will see the children learning, exploring, creating and developing their individual personalities as they discover new capabilities and interests each day – whether they attend on a part-time or full-time basis.
Our Nursery children will discover something new every day through rich, play-based experiences that spark their curiosity, encourage exploration and foster independence. Supported by skilled practitioners, they will develop the confidence, resilience and love of learning that provide a strong foundation for their future journey into Pre-Prep. From the age of 2, there are opportunities to experience a variety of subjects including Languages, PE, Dance, Drama and Music with specialist teachers. They can also enjoy learning in the open air with our Outdoor Wild Learning School (OWLS).

We know that as parents of young children there are so many aspects of your child’s day to consider, from their safety and happiness, to their diet and opportunities for positive interactions with other children and adults.
This is why at our Nursery we consider the finer details.
- Class sizes are small.
- All of the food we provide to children across the school is prepared by Holroyd Howe, a renowned school catering company.
- Our team consists of qualified Early Years Foundation Stage specialists responsible for overseeing all of our little grasshoppers’ activities.
- Team members are all enthusiastic and passionate about providing our children with a balanced environment, in which to promote positive behaviours and each child’s self-esteem, alongside developing a sense of security and genuine friendships.

Attendance is flexible: part-time or full-time places are available (during term time). All sessions include lunch. Children attending for a full day session are also able to join in with the school’s Breakfast Club (from 08:00) and After School Club (until 17:00 on Wednesdays and until 17:30 on all other school days).
