Pupils attend lessons six days a week at Gresham’s from Monday to Saturday, a single lesson will last for 45 minutes.

There are typically eight classes a day, Monday to Friday.The timetable on a Saturday does not have lessons in the afternoon but hobbies and games practice and/or sports fixtures. The timetable varies throughout the week to accommodate co-curricular activities such as CCF and Games. Games take place Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday with CCF and Service activities on a Friday. The timetable below indicates a typical Monday.

Day pupils can opt to leave on weekdays at either 5.30pm, 7.00pm, 7.30pm or 8.00pm.

There are two sittings for lunch to allow all pupils the opportunities to eat within their year groups.
Break4.30 – 5.30pm (House time / Gresham’s Activities Programme (GAPS))

Drama and music rehearsals take place, as well as an opportunity  for one to one tutoring through our academic clinics.
Prep (homework)5.30pm – 7.00pm
Prep is completed in the pupil’s boarding house.
Junior Tea6.45pm
Senior Tea7.00pm
Prep / Quiet hour7.45pm – 8.30pm
This is voluntary for pupils and monitored by the Housemaster/mistress.

A set departure time should be followed for each term.

Each pupil is provided with a copy of their personal timetable and this will specify subjects, teachers and rooms.
