There are no formal assessments; however we will request a school report and educational information from your child’s previous school prior to entry.
We would encourage new pupils to visit prior to starting.
Entrants to the Prep School sit English and Maths assessments. These Assessment Days are held every January but it is possible to sit the assessments at other times if required. For children who live overseas assessment papers can be sent to their current schools.
Pupils applying for Year 9 are invited to come in during the Lent (Spring) Term for an assessment day when they are in Year 8. Written reports from the pupil’s current school and a reference are also used in the assessment process.
Entrance assessments are in Maths and English. Please click on the links below to see Maths and English sample papers.
Entry to the Sixth Form (Year 12) is dependent upon the candidate’s school reports, interview, predicted GCSE grades and a reference from the candidate’s current school.
Final acceptance depends on students gaining a minimum of six GCSE grades A*- B, or 9 – 6 grades as well as a minimum of a C grade or 4 in Mathematics and English. Usually a minimum of a GCSE B grade or 6 grade is expected in a subject to be pursued in the Sixth Form.
You are welcome to visit us before making a formal application. To apply, we require a completed Registration Form together with a non-refundable Registration Fee of £170. Copies of the candidate’s two most recent school reports must be provided upon application.
A Registration Form is available upon request from Admissions: firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 01263 714614.
Candidates applying from overseas will be considered on the basis of a reference, school reports, an interview, and written assessments. Skype and Microsoft Teams interviews are available.
