Charity appeal launches with fundraising for The Holt Youth Project
5 October 2026

Gresham’s has officially launched its 2026–27 Charity Appeal in support of this year’s Charity Partner, The Holt Youth Project, with pupils and staff coming together for a day of fundraising and celebration.
The appeal got off to a lively start on Wednesday, as pupils swapped their usual uniforms for Home Clothes in support of the campaign. The Charity Committee also helped keep spirits high by selling an impressive 250 doughnuts to hungry pupils throughout the day.
The committee later delivered a fun and interactive Chapel talk, introducing pupils to the work of The Holt Youth Project and highlighting the importance of the school’s fundraising efforts.
A particularly special moment came when the school celebrated pupil Charles B, who recently swam the length of Lake Windermere to raise funds for The Holt Youth Project. His remarkable challenge has already raised thousands of pounds for the charity.
The launch marks the beginning of a year of fundraising activities at Gresham’s, with pupils and staff looking forward to supporting The Holt Youth Project and building on Wednesday’s successful start.
The school has thanked everyone who has already contributed to the appeal and is looking forward to seeing what can be achieved together over the coming year.
