New golf simulator opens at Gresham’s

The School was delighted to unveil its first ever golf simulator on Friday 28th August, providing Gresham’s pupils with an exciting new facility in which to develop their skills and enjoy the sport.

The installation has been made possible thanks to the generosity of a number of donors across the Gresham’s community, most notably the OG Golfing Society and many of its members. Their support has enabled the School to invest in a state-of-the-art facility that will provide pupils with opportunities to practise, learn and develop their game throughout the year, whatever the weather.

With a growing number of Gresham’s pupils taking up golf, the simulator comes at an ideal time and will help to further strengthen the School’s provision for the sport. As well as supporting those who already play, the facility will provide an opportunity for more pupils to discover and develop an interest in golf.

The simulator is also expected to become a valuable resource for the wider Gresham’s community, including Old Greshamians and members of the OG Golfing Society, creating further opportunities for the School and its community to come together through the sport.

The School is hugely grateful to all donors who have helped make the new facility possible and we look forward to seeing it put to good use in the years ahead.
