The first Music and Munch of the academic year

12 October 2026

Last Friday’s Music & Munch, the first of the new academic year, drew a large audience of parents, peers and local community supporters.

Expertly curated by our Graduate Musician Mr Sones, the line up did not disappoint. The lunchtime concert opened with an immaculate performance from Guitar ensemble and a rendition of the instantly recognisable Pink Panther Medley by Henry Mancini.

Stanley W took us back to the mid 1980s and George Michael’s Careless Whisper on the saxophone.

Tristan B showcased his classical singing skills with his performance of Du Bist die Ruh by Franz Schubert. Carlos OG performed Rachmaninoff’s Prelude in C Sharp Minor with sensational ability and Sophie M moved us with her beautiful performance of Claude-Michel Shonberg’s I dreamed a Dream from the musical Les Misérables.

The concert ended with an exciting Baroque Flamenco played on the harp by Gloria L and two pieces sung by the Junior Year 9 Choir.

The event set a wonderfully strong musical start to the year. Congratulations to all who performed!
