Adding to the Collection

Archives > Adding to the Collection

The School Archive has been in existence since 2005 and has been growing steadily thanks to donations of material from OGs and staff.

Our photograph collection has expanded considerably owing to the Foundation reunions when OGs have kindly looked out their old pictures for all to enjoy.

The only area under represented is uniform, apart from a couple of OG Club blazers, and I would very much like to acquire some small items such as caps, badges or ties.

Our collection of Grasshopper magazines still has a few gaps which I would love to fill if anyone has any they would be willing to part with.

Privacy Notice

Why do we collect your information?

We ask for contact details as part of our collections management procedures to document the provenance of our holdings in order to record, index and catalogue our collection – the reason for processing your data is therefore legitimate interest

How long will we keep your data?

We retain donor information forever.  This is necessary because we need to document our holdings, to assert ownership and associated rights, and to ensure that in the case of disposal, the item is first offered back to the donor.

Where do we keep your data and how is it stored?

Your information is initially stored in a paper accessions register which is kept in the archive office and can only be consulted by the Archivist.  It is then transferred to a computer cataloguing system CATALIST held on the pc in the archive office and securely backed up onto the School’s data storage system.
