Mr Lawes graduates as Pilot Officer (RAFAC)

Howson’s Assistant House Master and Teacher of Physics, Mr Solomon Lawes, recently graduated from RAF Cranwell as a Pilot Officer (RAFAC).

“The course that I was on was the Officer Induction Course at RAF Cranwell, essentially the basic training required to be an officer in the RAF Air Cadets. We were assessed on things such as officer attributes, uniform, drill and leadership. I got highly competent in all categories, beating all the other 18 officers on the course. I was also the Top Student which I am very happy about as the standard of other cadets was very high. I graduated gaining my Queen’s Commission, meaning that I am now a Pilot Officer (RAFAC).”
