Question: What do you get if you mix 25,000 Lego bricks with more than 100 children? Answer: Oodles of creativity!
Gresham’s Prep School Design & Technology department hosted their biennial Lego Workshops last Thursday with spectacular results. Year 2,3,4 and 5 children were all involved. The theme this year was Japan, so the children were tasked with creating their own version of Tokyo Metropolis including a rugby stadium, an athletics track, sky-scrappers and Japanese gardens. In their session the Year 4 and 5 children also added working lights and motors to their buildings and even created a transport system!
Great fun was had by all. We are very grateful to Mr Bob Walker of Primary Workshops for bringing the Lego and running the workshops.
