The Year 9 ‘Trade Game’ enrichment afternoon took place last week. Pupils were put into different ‘countries’ and had to work out how to obtain, manage and make money from a variety of resources that were unequally distributed.
External factors changed and quick thinking was paramount. Somalia struggled with their limited resources so decided to sell the country and join forces with Japan. Nigeria formed an alliance and was supported by the UK. Cambodia and Bolivia had a stoke of luck finding gold in the Artic, their profits soared and were banked by ‘The Banker’ Mr Pitcher with much delight.
It was a fun filled afternoon of trading!
